The working principle of the butterfly valve is based on its disc-shaped butterfly plate in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or adjustment. Butterfly valve fully open to fully closed is usually less than 90 degrees, and the butterfly valve and the butterfly rod itself has no self-locking ability. In order to locate the butterfly plate, a worm gear reducer is sometimes installed on the valve stem to make the butterfly plate have self-locking ability and improve the operation performance of the valve.
